The case is made of Panerai's new material called Carbotech which is a composite material that is based off of carbon fiber and is considered to be much lighter and more durable than ceramic or titanium. This material has an uneven matte black pattern which varies according to the cutting of the material and results in each watch being unique. Bezel is made up of Carbotech which is unidirectional and features a graduated scale that is applied with Super-Luminova so you can see in the dark depths. The case back is screwed down and is made of titanium with black coating.Â
Time and date are displayed on a blue dial that is accompanied by luminescent hands and hour markers. Located at the 3 o'clock position is a date aperture and at 9 o'clock is a small seconds sub-dial.
