40mm Vintage Steel And 18k YG Swiss Only Dial Circa 1999
This 16613 Sub is in great shape for a piece that has been on and off the wrist since 1999. The watch shows normal signs of wear but lugs are meaty and the bracelet is tight for its age. The original green Rolex hologram is still intact on the case back which is a big plus. The case does have areas of mirror-like finish which are prone to hairlines (marks visible when with high resolution cameras or if angled at certain lighting). Included with the watch are the original papers as well as a Rolex travelling box, cloth and hang tag. The original Rolex presentation box is not included.Â
The case is made of stainless steel with satin-finished lugs and mirror-finished sides. Mounted atop the case is an 18k yellow gold unidirectional diver's bezel that is paired with an aluminum black bezel diver's insert. Both the 18k yellow gold crown and stainless steel case back are screw down. As for the oyster bracelet, it features mirror-finished 18k yellow gold center links and satin-finished outer links. The bracelet currently fits up to a 7.5 inch wrist comfortably.
Time and date are displayed on a black swiss only (transitional, last year before swiss made dials) dial that is accompanied by luminescent filled hands as well as luminous hour markers. Located at the 3 o'clock position is a magnified date window.
This watch has passed through our service center where it was first checked inside and out to certify its authenticity. After that, it passed a functionality test to confirm it is running up to manufacturer's standards and water resistant. Lastly, the serial number was run through a database to verify its legitimacy. We will issue receipts and a certificate of authenticity and test it once again prior to delivery. This watch will be backed by our in-house warranty.
