40mm Steel Black Dial First Edition Cal. 4130 P Serial Full Set
This 116520 Daytona is in excellent condition for a watch that was initially purchased in 2003. There are minor signs of wear on the bezel, but that is to be expected for a previously enjoyed piece. The case does have areas of mirror-like finish which are prone to hairlines (marks visible when with high resolution cameras or if angled at certain lighting). Pictures are part of the description so please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.
What makes this example particularly special is that it is a 116520 P serial and this is the first batch that had the in-house Rolex caliber 4130 movements. Before this, transition, they came with modified Zenith movements (model number 16520).
The case is made of stainless steel, most of which displays a mirror finish with the exception of the center of the case back. Mounted atop the case is a tachymeter-scaled stainless steel bezel, also with a mirror finish. As for the stainless steel oyster bracelet (full-link), it has mirror-finished center links and satin finishes outer links.
Functions are displayed on a black dial that is accompanied by luminescent filled hands and index hour markers. Those functions include hours, minutes, sub-seconds and a three register chronograph.
This watch has passed through our service center where it was first checked inside and out to certify its authenticity. After that, it passed a functionality test to confirm it is running up to manufacturer's standards and water resistant. Lastly, the serial number was run through a database to verify its legitimacy. We will issue receipts and a certificate of authenticity and test it once again prior to delivery. This watch will be backed by our in-house warranty.
